Post 9 Final Reflection

Internship Final Reflection

1. Think back to the beginning of internship. What were your goals? Did you achieve these goals? If so, what did you have to do consistently to achieve the goals?
At the beginning of internship, my goal was to gain new skills such as office and to meet with other people that are professional. Achieving these goals wasn't that hard because the site where I intern everyone seems to be nice and it was easier for me to achieve my goals.

2. What are the most important ideas or skills you’ve learned in the last 10 weeks?
I learn how to scanned documents, checking files in the hospital database and prep document before  being scanned.

3. What has having a relationship with a professional employee such as your supervisor/mentor meant to your personal development? How have you have grown as a student and/or young adult in this relatively new country?
It was very nice to develop a good relationship with my mentor and co-workers which mean a lot to me because having some one professional in your life and who is willing to help you is always important. Working at this site made me a better person, Now I know how to act with professional people which is important because it prepare you for the real world.

4. What were the highlights (memorable moments) of your internship experience?
The memorable moment at my internship is interacting with the co-workers, specially a guy name Troy who always sais jokes and he is so funny.

5. What are your thoughts about jobs, careers, or the professional world in general as a result of having spent 125 hours working in it?
The thoughts part about internship is going to internship every single day and some time going to my site alone because i will be so bored on my way which is discouraging some time.

6. After high school, what do you want to pursue for a career? Are you more or less interested in college as a result of your internship?
After High School, I want to go to college because that the only reason why I am in this country to accomplish my goals and which is another step toward my life.

7. What were your biggest challenges to overcome and how did you handle those challenges?
My biggest challenge was understand my duties  because some time it varies and At first I did not know what to do when the co-worker are not around, so I was little nervous about going to ask my mentor about what to do.

8. If you were to start a brand new internship next week, what are at least two things you would do differently?
I would make sure I complete all my hours as quick as possible, so the day I miss internship I won't have to make it up and be more open to others at my site.

9. Think of two to three pieces of advice you could offer a new intern at your site.
For future interns, I would tell them to ask the co-workers before you ask the supervisor, Don't be afraid to ask questions about something you having hard time finding and always take your time while working so the work will be accurate.
10. What will you miss about your internship?
I will miss everyone in the building because they been nothing but nice to all of us,always asking us if we need any help.
